SUN (SURYA) YANTRA
The Sun God known by the names Ravi , Surya, Bhanu, Arka, Mithra and by several other names. In fact Rig-Veda is full of praise, describing Him by several names and qualities. He is Atmakaraka (Significator of soul). Being at the centre of the solar system, Sun is the giver of life force to all the other planets and the life everywhere. He indicates father, honor, status, fame, the heart, the eyes, respect and power. In Rudhra Prashna he is given as an example of living God ("The Gopas say the Invisible is Visible here"). He is also referred as a Kavi, the poet who sees everything. Ravi gives clear perception. In his name Trijakalpa Suryanamaskara (a Pooja for Ravi ) is conducted on Sundays. A propitiation measure to Ravi strengthens bones, cures illness particularly of cardio vascular nature gives progeny, gold, restores honor and dignity. However, the exact role Ravi plays is dependent on his ruler ship, placement and association as well as aspect in the natal chart. Sun stands for power and authority. When one is deprived of happiness through termination of service, suspension or through opponents or diseases etc., worship of Sun through Surya Namaskar etc. is always advised. Such difficulties are overcome and cure from disease is attained with good health through Pooja of Surya yantra. Surya Yantra enhances the peace of mind, gets favor from Superior , officers and Govt. By the use of Surya Yantra enemies are suppressed and eliminated the malefic effects of Sun. Mantra in English:
Stotra : Japa kusuma-sankarsham kashyapeyam maha-dyutim tamo-rim sarva-papa-ghnam pranato ' smi divakaram
When translated in English, it means:
"Let us chant the glories of the Sun God, whose beauty rivals that of a flower. I bow down to him, the greatly effulgent son of Kashyapa, who is the enemy of darkness and destroyer of all sins."
